Terms of Service

Effective July 21, 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms govern your use of GenieTé — the suite of developer services operated by Genie, Inc. ("Genie", "we") at geniete.com and its service subdomains, including AgentScreen (screens.geniete.com), ChannelService (channels.geniete.com), and Voice (voice.geniete.com). By creating an account or using the services you agree to these Terms.

2. Accounts

You need a GenieTé account to use the services. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all API keys issued under your account — treat keys as secrets; you can rotate or revoke them at any time from each service's console. Activity performed with your keys is attributed to your account.

3. Plans, credits, and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Usage across services is metered in shared prepaid credits; each service publishes a rate card describing exactly what each action costs. Billing, cancellation, refund, and dispute terms are set out in our Billing, Refunds & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the services to: violate any law; infringe others' rights; generate or distribute content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or deceptive (including impersonating real persons without consent in synthesized speech); attempt to breach, probe, or overload the platform or other customers' resources; or resell the services in a manner that misrepresents their origin. We may suspend accounts engaged in abuse, with notice where practicable.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to content you submit (text, events, media). You grant us the limited license needed to operate the services — to process, store, transmit, and (where you direct it, e.g., shareable links or public speaker pages) display or play your content. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you submit.

6. Service availability

We operate the services with care and observe them continuously, but they are provided "as is" and "as available" without a guaranteed service level. We publish status and respond to incidents promptly. Features marked as experimental may change or be withdrawn.

7. Third-party processors

The services rely on established providers — including Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (infrastructure), and speech-synthesis providers for Voice — as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Genie, Inc. disclaims all implied warranties, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the amounts you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

You may stop using the services and cancel paid plans at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature survive (payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits) survive.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state of incorporation of Genie, Inc., without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: support@geniete.com.
